This day retreat is limited to 12 people so that we can give more attention to each and everyone of you.



What to expect

This small-group retreat blends Pilates, Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Mindfulness, iRest Yoga Nidra / guided meditation and techniques for regulating your nervous system, allowing you to leave feeling refreshed, balanced, and restored.

Mindfulness & Stress-Relief Techniques

Learn simple yet powerful tools to regulate your nervous system and find peace in everyday life.

iRest Yoga Nidra & Guided Meditation

Experience deep relaxation and meditation techniques for mental clarity and emotional balance.

Small-Group Wellness Retreat

Limited to just 12 people, this retreat ensures a peaceful and personalised experience suitable for all levels.

What level of experience should I have?

This one-day wellness retreat is designed for everyone – from complete beginners to experienced yogis.

If you’ve been curious about Pilates, Yoga, or Mindfulness, or simply need time to prioritise self-care, this retreat is for you!

What should you bring?

Very little! 

We want this to be as stress free for you as possible but if you want to bring your own trusty mat, feel free. 

We provide:

Yoga props – blankets, bricks, blocks & meditation cushions.


Comfort items – You’re welcome to bring an extra cushion or bolster for deep relaxation (Sue highly recommends extra props for an indulgent practice!).

What should you wear?

We practise barefoot or in socks (trainers are not required, but supportive shoes are fine if needed).

Wear layers that you can remove or add for comfort.

Yin Yoga and meditation can lower your body temperature – bring warm socks, an extra layer, or a cosy blanket to stay comfortable.

Wear flexible, comfortable clothing – avoid anything too tight or too loose.

Sue

Sue Murkin is a qualified Mindfulness Practitioner, EFT Practitioner L2, Strange Flows Energy Worker, Reiki Practitioner, Master NLP Practitioner, Certified Facilitator and Performance Coach and has worked in wellbeing for over 20 years, yet her interest in spiritual and personal growth spans 40 years undertaking programmes with Tony Robbins, Paul McKenna, Richard Bandler, Mike Dooley, Brian Tracy, Michael Neill, Denise Lyn, Donna Eden, Sharon Blackie, Barbara Carrellas to name a few! 

Sue has always had an interest in ancient women folklore – women as healers, the story tellers of our wisdom & heritage, protectors of nature and animals, goddess insight and intuition and the collective power of sisterhood.  

Sue works exclusively with women teaching Pilates and Yin Yoga and works with mixed groups offering yin for relaxation, sound baths and corporate wellbeing days.  

Simon

Simon has been meditating & practicing yoga since 2003 & teaching since 2010. A British Wheel of Yoga-accredited teacher, certified meditation & iRest™ instructor & yoga therapist, he blends yoga, meditation, breathwork & movement with a sprinkling of neuroscience, to support overall well-being. 

His teaching emphasises breath, alignment, strength, flexibility, & deep relaxation. 

With firsthand experience of a high-pressure city life & injury recovery, he understands yoga’s power to reduce stress, improve mobility, & enhance well-being. 

His open, welcoming classes & private sessions help students find balance, resilience & joy through mindful practices.

The Venue

Kagyu Samye Dzong, 15 Spa Road, Bermondsey, London, SE16 3SA

Tube Stations:

The nearest Underground Station is Bermondsey on the Jubilee Line. London Bridge, on the Northern and Jubilee Lines, is slightly further away. Buses: The following buses come near the centre – No 1, 78, 188, 42, 47, 381 and C10. The No 1 and 78 buses stop particularly close to the centre, at the “Spa Road” stop on Grange Road.

Parking:

On street parking near the centre is free at weekends.

Once payment is made for the day retreat there will be no refunds. If notice is given to us within three weeks of the event, that you cannot attend, we will offer you a space on the next day retreat. Less than three weeks' notice and we reserve the right not to offer an alternative date. You can transfer your place to someone else, but you must ensure we have their name at least 48 hours before the event.
